Hülya Korkmaz
Born in Burdur in 1982, Hülya Korkmaz graduated from the Department of Graphic Design at Süleyman Demirel University Fine Arts Faculty in 2005 after completing primary and secondary education in Burdur. In 2013, she completed her master's thesis on “graphical evaluations of scientific Biological illustrations” in the Department of graphic design of Haliç University Institute of Social Sciences. During the years of university education, she exhibited his paintings on scientific illustration at biology Congresses in personal exhibitions on scientific illustration. Some of these works were exhibited in Süleyman Demirel University, Faculty of Agriculture.
Between 2004 and 2005, she attended the lectures on Plant illustration of Mr. Christabel King, the plant painter of the UK Kew Royal Botanical Garden at Ali Nihat Gökyiğit Foundation. In 2015, he took Technical wood drawing lessons from the garden painter Aljos Farjon on conifers at Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanic Garden. Between 2006 and 2009, she lectured in the first plant illustration courses in Anatolia in the Kars - Iğdır natural wealth project of the North nature Association. He published his book entitled Scientific Biological illustration in 2004, onion plants of Turkey, natural plants of, Chilean Forest books Project, Istanbul. She took part in many projects such as Istanbul trees as a plant painter, and she took part in many refereed journals both in Turkey and abroad with her technical drawings from the lively herbarium samples on Scientific Biological illustration.
Korkmaz, who has been teaching different art workshops since 2006, continues her studies in the traditional Arts Academy of Küçükçekmece Municipality, the classical Turkish Arts Foundation and his personal workshop.
